The Truth of Residual Income

Is there such a thing as true residual income?  Yes and No.

What is Residual Income?

Residual Income is income derived from doing the work once and getting paid over and over again.  Or it is an investment that can earn money over and over again.
In other words it is the perfect income.


  • A songwriter.  They write the lyrics once and let someone else sing it.  They may only get a few pennys per play but it adds up over the long run
  • Actors. They make the movie or tv show and then every time it is played they get paid.
  • Inventors.  They create something, patten it, and then sell lease the patten.  If they are smart they have someone else produce it.  For every sale of what is produced the inventor gets a little money from it.
  • Investors. They can buy a stock like Disney and every quarter they get a nice little dividend.  As long as the company does well that little investment will spit out dividends for a long time.  Pepsico has given a dividend for 43 years in a row.  That is a lot of residual income.

Yes There is Residual Income

I have a small niche site that sells playbooks for youth football.  I have spent a total of about 10 hours working on it in the last 6 years.  Every year it produces money.  Every year I get something from it.
I get about $50 a year.  Not terrible.  If I did something with it I might get more.  But it truly is residual income.  Could I get more if I wanted to?  Yes I could.  I could spend another 20-30 hours revamping it, testing prices, making it look a little more modern.  Then I could spend a few more hours a week marketing the site through social media and participating in discussion groups.  But do I want to?
It would be nice to have another $1,000 or even $5,000 a year from this site, but then it would not be truly residual income.

No there is no true Residual Income

As shown before it is possible to create a stream of income where it is completely residual.  But, if there is to be any significant income from a source we have to put time into it.  So no there is not real residual income.
I left off with it being nice to have another $1,000 or $5,000 a year in income.  With minimal work I could probably get it back up there.  Now what if I want to totally replace my current teaching salary? I would have to develop bigger and better products to sell.  I would have to expand to several different products.  Maybe even a course dedicated to coaching coaches how to coach football.  I could do it.
With a lot of marketing and a lot of effort I could certainly get the product up to $15,000 to $20,000.  But I am doing a lot of work.  I am also not close to replacing my income.  So maybe I would have to make two or three sites similar to the coaching site so that I could completely replace my income.
The work is not in the producing of the products.  Once the products are made then they are done.  In some sense I am doing that work once and making money from it.
However I am doing a lot of work driving traffic to the site, promoting the site, and keeping the flow of traffic going.  That is not residual income.
So the answer is Yes and No.  Yes creating a product once and having it produce income for you over and over again is completely possible.  To have a product that creates a lot of money and continuously and consistently produces money then we still have to do work.


Find examples of residual income.  Figure out a product that you can produce once then sell over and over again.  The promote the crap out of it.

16 Steps to Success

Most people want to be successful in life. There are goals set and then the hard work begins to reach those goals. The question is what is success?

Actually, success can mean different things to different people. For example, a person that owns their own oil changing service for vehicles might set their level of success at servicing 50 cars a day while someone who loves music might consider success as cutting their own CD.

In addition, success does not always have to involve money. Success could be getting a good grade in a difficult class or learning how to bake the perfect chocolate cake.

Success comes in all different shapes and sizes with one common denominator. Success is important and it takes work to reach.

Regardless of what your specific success is, there are ways to surpass your goal. We have put together 101 tips that can be used for any success. These are ways to better yourself as a person, proven methods you can apply to reach success.

  1. Realize your Potential

    In order to succeed at anything, you need to see that you have the
    potential to reach your goals. For example, if you want to be a recording artist but have no singing ability, having success in this field is not likely. However, if you love working on cars and have a real talent for fixing engines and transmissions, and to you, success would mean working for NASCAR, you have potential to learn and achieve that success.

  2. Don’t Look Back

    Everyone has failures or mistakes from the past. To have success, you need to learn from your past and value those difficult lessons but do not every dwell on the past. Simply move forward and make better, more educated decisions from the lessons learned.

  3. Dare to Dream

    To succeed, you need to have dreams and aspirations. Be honest with yourself as to what you want out of life and what you want to give of your life. Allow your mind to dream and think big.

  4. Don’t Give Up

    To reach success, you have to persevere. Even Thomas Edison had to learn this. When he was creating the incandescent light bulb, it took him more than 10,000 times to get it right. Keep striving even when it becomes challenging.

  5. Have an Unstoppable Attitude

    You need to have determination. With good intentions, there may be a close friend or family member that feels it would be better if you focused your attention in another direction. Uphold your unstoppable attitude, determined to succeed.

  6. Stop the Complaining

    You might think there is no correlation between complaining and success when in fact there is a connection. When you are spending time complaining about the obstacles you are facing, you are wasting so much time being negative that you are actually loosing chances to move forward. Instead of thinking of challenges as problems, think of them as opportunities.

  7. Focus on Something you Like

    To increase your chance of succeeding, you should concentrate your efforts on something you enjoy. When you start out, make a list of everything you find interesting. Then in a second column, write down the skills you have in relation to each of those items. This will help you narrow choices down based on interest and skill, which gets you started in the right direction for success.

  8. Change your Circumstances

    You have a choice in life to accept your position or change it. If you choose to plug along in life hoping that something will change for the better, you will not get very far. Always remember that when it comes to changing your circumstances, you can – you have that power. As an example, women who are in abusive situations often feel controlled and powerless to get out of the situation. They have the same choice of changing their circumstances as you do. If your circumstances lower the chances of success, you need to change them.

  9. Have a Plan

    Even if it is flimsy to begin with, you should construct a plan to include goal, milestones, deliverables such as contracts, business plans, etc., and accomplishments. This will provide you with a visual as to what you are working for, what milestones you have successfully met, and where you need to do better.

  10. Accept Responsibility

    You need to accept responsibility if you make a bad decision or fall behind in your plan. Let us say that you have set some firm milestones that need to be accomplished in order for you to move to the next step. However, you got tired of working hard and took some time to play, which is fine as long as it does not affect your goals. Now months have passed and you are way behind schedule. This delay has closed several doors of opportunities. Who is to blame?

  11. Be Happy

    A positive mind and happy, upbeat attitude will help you succeed. It has been proven in many studies that a person living in a happy state generally gets much further in just about everything they do. This relates to attitude. Just as bad attitude can pull you down, good attitude and a happy, healthy mind will help you meet your objectives.

  12. No Shortcuts

    An old cliché states, “Anything worth doing is worth doing well.” This should be your motto. When you want to succeed, you cannot afford to take shortcuts. Taking shortcuts leads to imperfection and inadequacies. Always strive for the best, even if it requires a little more time and effort.

  13. Have Courage

    Depending on what your specific success is, it may take courage to arrive at your desired destination. For example, if you have a dream of being a writer and to you, that is success, but according to your long line of family members who have all gone on to be doctors, the only success in their minds is if you follow down the medical path. This means you will have to have courage to stand up for what you believe and desire to do, even if it means disappointing family.

  14. Be Excited to Learn

    Referring back to the analogy of Edison, when asked about his failures by a young boy, Edison commented, “Young man, I didn’t fail 9,999 times, I discovered 9,999 ways not to invent the light bulb.” As you work toward your specific success, always enjoy opportunities to learn, even if it takes  longer than you think it should.

  15. Share your Success

    Although this may be more at the end of the process, it is important. When you finally do reach your success, use your experience to teach, guide, and mentor others so that they too might succeed.

  16. Seek Input

    Whatever your idea of success, conduct a “sanity check” throughout the process of reaching your goal. This should be done with someone you trust and who is themselves successful. Ask them to provide honest feedback about your success and as you move through different milestones, bounce concerns or new ideas off them to help keep you on the right track.

Let me Do the Figuring

Watch me re-figure all this stuff out.  Why?  Because things have changed, and are changing so fast.  Let me be the one who figures it all out for you.

What mistakes have I made?

In 2008 I had a great business buying domains, setting up a WordPress site, driving traffic, and then selling the domain.  It was great.  It was international.  I was making money online.  Not a lot, but I was making money.
It would take me about a month for the entire process and in the end I could sell it for between $200 and $500.
A month seems like a long time and a lot of effort to make that money but it really is not.  I spent about an hour a day for the month, that is about 30 hours.  Divide the money I made by the time I spent and I was making between $6.60 and $16 an hour.  Certainly not a world beater but it was a good part time job.  And I was working in my pajamas, at my home, at my desk, with probably way to many distractions.
Then I looked into ramping it up.  So I broke it down this way.  It would take me a day to setup the site.  A week to really make it look good.  Then the last three weeks would be spent producing content and driving traffic to the site.
What if every week I would make a new site.  At any one time I would have 4 sites running at different stages.  I would have one in the design stage.  One in content production.  One in marketing.  One in sales.
I looked into it and it would double my time.  Now I would have to spend 60 hours a month.  That is about 2 hours a day.  But I would be selling one site a week at $200 to $500 or a monthly income of $600 to $2000 a month.  Now we are talking!  That would put me at $10 to $33 an hour.
As I got better I would increase my revenue.  Looked like I would have a business.

Killing the Golden Goose

I abruptly got back after being deported from Taiwan (ask me about the story and I will be happy to tell you).  No job, no house, no car.  Not a great situation.  What the hell I thought, I will flip sites.  I can spend all day working on it and just pumping out sites.
There were two problems.  One is that I could not sit at a computer all day long building up sites and selling them.  I am a great starter.  What I am not good at is following through.  With 4 sites going I was getting confused as to what I was supposed to be writing.  What site was at what stage.  Then I was falling in love with some topics and neglecting others.  It was just human nature getting in the way.
The other problem was that with this model it would not always work.  Some sites only sold for about $100.  With my good sites I could not break $500.  There was also a lot of competition.  The market shifted from wanting traffic to wanting great design.  I was, and still am, not a great designer.
There was another realization.  People were not buying my sites.  They were buying my traffic.  The traffic was the key.  There is a formula, which is slightly different for everyone, that can calculate how much you make on each email subscriber, or site visitor.  Basically simply add up all sales and divide by subscribers and/or visitors.  You get your cost per sale or profit per visitor depending on how you look at it.
I realized that is where the real profit came from.  However my time was up.  I was out of money and the person whose couch I had crashed on had enough of me. It was time to move on.  So I moved to Miami.

The Lesson

Don’t kill the golden goose.  Although a monthly reoccurring income of $100 to $200 does not seem like much, if your site is earning that over and over again that can be $1,200 to $2,400 a year.  That is a good spring break vacation.
My business was not scaleable.  In continuously looked for ways to expand.  Really the only way for me to expand was to spend more time.  I wanted more freedom. If I hired someone it would cost me about $20 to $25 an hour.  If I really wanted to be a CEO type of business man I could probably make $5 to $10 an hour for someone doing my work.  But I would still have to spend about 2-3 hours a day working on the business.
However if you have a site that is making a little money you can scale it.  Even if you are only making a few dollars a month.  By earning money your site, your visitors, your customers, your students, your clients, are telling you they like what you are doing.  So do more.  Add features.  Add books, programs, courses, membership opportunities, coaching, mentoring, whatever seems right to you.
The two big lessons I learned is that I would have to spend a lot of time in the beginning building a site for free.  But as time went on I would be spending less and less time on the site and making more and more money.  To Geek Out on it the graph looks something like:

Once the money starts coming it takes a little while to ramp up.  Once it builds momentum it really starts to grow.
So once again.  Learn from my mistakes.  Let me figure out the how.  You just follow along, build great content, make great lessons, and soon you will be on the far end of the graph.

Get Everything You Want Done and Still Have Time

Pomodoro Book Cover     I want to share with you a great task management technique that will help you complete everything you want and still have time left over at the end of the day.  The technique is called the Pomodoro technique.  I could spend a long time trying to describe it and do a fairly good job, or I could send you over to Chris Winfield’s site and have you get his free eBook.  So go there, get the book.  Below is a quick overview but really the best thing to do is get the book and read through it.

The Pomodoro

A Pomodoro is simple.  It is a 30 minute block of time.  For the first 25 minutes you focus on one task and only one task. Set a timer.  This is very important.  Then once the timer goes off, no matter what you are doing or where you are in your task you take a 5 minute break.  Then you repeat.  After 3 Pomodoro’s then take a 15 minute break.
That is it, very simple, very easy to implement.

The Results

I have a lot going on.  I am writing nearly every day.  I have several new teachers in my building that I am contacting everyday.  I am analyzing a lot of data.  It is also second semester as I write this and we have State tests in 9 subjects, the ACT, the PSAT, and I am in charge of all AP testing.  It is a very busy time for me.
I have been using the Pomodoro for about 2 months now and I really don’t feel stressed.  I sit down when I get to school and write what my most important things that I have to get done for the day are.  Then I simply start the Pomodoro process and plow through them.

When Interruptions Occur

Most of my day is spent putting out fires.  If I go get interrupted then I approximate where I was when I was interrupted and reset the timer.  Usually it would take me about 15 to 20 minutes to really get back into working on what I was working on before the interruption.  Now I am back focused in about 5 minutes and usually am much more focused on the work I need to accomplish.

Using it in Meetings

I even use the technique in meetings.  Sometimes explicitly as in telling everyone “I am going to set a timer for 25 minutes and we are going to accomplish X then take a break”, or I simply schedule the meeting so that every 25 minutes or so we are changing tasks in what we are doing.  This makes the meeting way more productive and my teachers leave with a much better sense of accomplishment.

Why WordPress?

I build all my sites on WordPress.  But Why?
It is easy to install.
There is plenty of support
It is used by some of the biggest and best sites on the web
It is easy customizable
It is well tested and completely stable

What is WordPress?

WordPress is a Content Management System or CMS.  It is the software that runs your site and makes it easy to update.  It runs in the background and no one sees it but you.  What your visitors see is a great looking, well organized site.  You get a CMS that works like a word processor (think Microsoft Works) and a while bunch of tools to run your site without you having to know a single line of code.

It is easy to install

If you are using the host provider that I recommend then all you will have to do to install WordPress is click a button and follow the steps.  If you use another provider sometimes you will have to click two buttons.  No really it is that easy.  Almost every host completely supports WordPress with an easy to install system that will have you running WordPress in just minutes.
If you don’t want to use the auto install then simply go to WordPress.org and they will give you step by step instructions on how to upload WordPress to your site and install it.

There is Plenty of Support

The WordPress community is large, helpful, and very active.  Go to WordPress.org and click on the support tab in the header.  This will bring you to a large deposit of helpful articles.
Want someone to do it for you?  It is easy to find a person to help you on eLance, Fiverr, Freelancer, Guru, or more.  Just post what you need and in minutes you will get a many helpful people at many different price points.

It is Used by Some of the Biggest and Best Sites On the Web

Does that alone make it the best?  Not necessarily.  However look at the list of sites and a variety of uses.  Any of these is a great example.  You should be able to find some inspiration in one of these.

It is Easily Customizable

You can do this by yourself or find someone to do it for you.  However there are a lot of easy plug-ins


Themes are what makes your site look good.  All the previous sites are run by themes.  It makes your site consistent and consistently looking good.  You can find themes that range in price from free all the way up to thousands of dollars.  As a rule of thumb themes that cost between $50 and $150 will work great for you and run well on your site.


These give a little added customization to your site.  Some run in the background, some add interactivity to your site, some add to the functionality.  Plug-ins are fun but be careful not to add too many of them.  They might slow your site down if you have to many running at once.

It is Well Tested and Stable

Due to the fact that so many people run WordPress it is well tested.  Because of the fact that so many people rely on WordPress tells us that it is stable.  If you are ready to have people visit the the site you want it up and running.  Make sure you choose a Content Management System that works and you know will give your visitors the experience that you want.


Go to WordPress.org and visit the site, especially the Forums under the Support tab.  And visit WordPress.com and see what is possible.  In WordPress.com you can start your own free blog to give it a test run and see what it is like.  While you are there look me up – search Coach Kip

Blogging Might Be Dead but Teaching Isn’t

Just In Time LearningMany have said that Blogging is dead.  It might be.  But teaching is not.  People still rely on searching Google for well written articles on how to do something.  Just in time learning is the ‘in thing’, you are poised to dominate this if you take action.
Darren Rose at ProBlogger has a great article posted in December of 2014 about this topic.  It is well researched and states over and over again how blogging is down, how there are less blogs being started, and fewer and fewer traffic to these.
This is true because those who are blogging about their lives, or simply just for pure entertainment, are shifting to YouTube, FaceBook, Twitter, Periscope, Snapchat, Instigram, or many many other sites.
However Blogging for educational purposes is not dead.  We are constantly looking up how to do things.  We are constantly looking for improved ways to do things we already know how to do.  We are shifting to being crafty.  These shifts put you in a great position.
If you love doing something.  If you have a hobby.  If you have a craft.  If you love teaching.  You can do this!  You have the ability and the education for this!

A Random Example:

What if you knit for peace of mind after school (or work).  What if you make baby hats, winter hats, dolls, socks, blankets, anything.  You have a market.


There are people who are just starting out and learning how to knit.  I have a blanket that my Grandmother made for me.  I use it both because it is warm, but also for sentimental reasons.  My mother was never a big knitter, however she is very handy with the sewing machine.  I might be interested in knitting.  But I don’t know where to start.  I can find 895,000 results on YouTube and 89,300,000 results on Google.
Some might think that this is a problem.  “Arent there already too many results and people doing this?”  NO!  The actual problem is that there are too many people doing this; giving suggestions on how to knit.  You are a teacher.  So teach people how to knit.  Teach people how to be a good knitter.  Start with the basics, put together an easy to follow course that shows results nearly instantly.  Start teaching.
You can dominate this.  Clearly there is a huge interest out there still.  Clearly there are many people who are looking for good results.  But there is a sense of overwhelm.  What do I choose?  Who is good?  Why would I chose one site over another?

Why would they choose you?

With all those results I am totally overwhelmed.  I don’t know who is good, who is not, who to trust, who is a good teacher, who is not.
However you can teach in a clear and easy to understand way.  You have the skills.  You have the experience.  You have the abilities.  As you build an audience of successful knitters they will market for you and tell other people.  “Those other 89 million results are no good.  You need to go here to learn how I do this.”
So do it.  Start something that matters this year.  Make this year the year to fall in love with teaching all over again.


Take a self inventory.  What is it that you like doing?  What are your hobbies?  What do you know a little bit more than someone else?  What gets you excited to do and teach?
Start there and the rest will be revealed to you.

5 Secrets to Continued Success

IMG_0949Develop these 5 attributes of a successful person, and you will find yourself moving quickly toward your goals in life!

  • Thick Skin: you cannot be easily offended or hurt if you want to be successful. There will always be people who are jealous or envious or out to bring someone else down—you must develop a way to see past that and let it roll off your back, like “water off a duck’s back.”
    Ducks have feathers that are tight and their density act like oil—it keeps the duck dry and warm. So when water (cold or otherwise) lands on the back of a duck, it simply rolls off. Let criticism roll off your back in a similar manner—because if you are going to be successful, you will have your share of criticism. Count on it.
  • Obedience: although this might seem strange to talk about to adults and not children, it is important to consider that in order to be a leader, you must first learn how to obey a leader. You must learn the principle of loyalty to a leader if you want to lead others.
    Once you have learned how to obey and to follow directions, you can lead others and understand what commands and orders do for an organization and an individual. Consider this: 175 of the CEOs of Fortune 500 companies are former US Marines, and 27 US Presidents served in the military.
  • Courage: bravery is not courage, but you cannot have courage without being brave. Courage is the moral fortitude to stand up for your character (touched on in the last article) and to do the right thing—even in the face of adversity.
    When you have courage, you follow through on your vision. It’s on display every day and only the courageous have the ability to get the most out of life. When you have the strength of your conviction, find the courage to put it in to action. You won’t be sorry you did.
  • Intolerance: not exactly what you might expect to find in an article about success, but each of us must be intolerant of any number of things: intolerant of abuse, of injustice, of the things that you know are immoral, unethical, or illegal. If there’s anything in this world you should be intolerant of, those are some of them. I hope you are an intolerant person—in the right way.
  • Sense of Humor: if you don’t have a sense of humor, you will fall flat on your face and never be someone who succeeds. A good portion of the road we walk to success is filled with blockades and potholes. If you come up against one and go down, you must have the ability to laugh at the situation and yourself. If you don’t, you will be angry and bitter about your misfortune and never move past it. Laugh at yourself and what you run up against and you’ll find your climb to the top is quicker and more enjoyable than you thought it would be.


Pick one of these attributes and work on it for 3 to 5 days.  Report back on how you did, how it made you feel, and some of the results that you achieved.


Selling Rebranding eBooks

If you are a great writer and you have no problems writing about anything then you should consider starting a service that sells Personal Re-Branding products.

Let’s first begin with a short, but concise explanation of precisely what the Re-brand product is.

A re-brandable product is one in which you allow your recipients, or those that receive it from you, or another source such as someone else giving it away, to change specific aspects of the product. In general, these are usually designated areas within the product that can be changed to reflect that person’s name, web site name or URL link, affiliate links, or things of this nature. These “re-brandable” areas are always pre-formatted by the product’s author or creator.

A quick example of a “rebrandable” area would be something like this:


This Product Presented To You By:
[Your Name]
[Your Website URL Link]


Each person that has been granted the right to change this small area, or “re-brand” it with their own personal, or business, information, will often times pay a fee for this right. Guess who collects that fee? The author/creator does! And you never have to do anything past redistributing it to other people who do all the difficult “leg work” for you.

Think of it like this. . . .

You sell the “normal”, non-brandible version of your info product to your customer. That’s already positive cash into your account. Then, after this customer initially buys your product, they discover that for a one time fee, they can add their name and site URL within the product before they resell it, or give it away for free. That is the process of “re-branding”.

The pull of a product that is re-brandible is that your customer will have the ability to possess their own little traffic generation system within a product they did not have to create. And each time they sell, or give away, a copy of the product to their customers, their business information will be seen. All for a small, one time, $10.00 fee. Which of course, YOU collect. As mentioned earlier. But, this fee collection doesn’t just end there with your customers though.

Here’s a short break-down of what I mean. . .

Your customer gets a copy of your re-brandible product, whether free or paid for. They open it up, begin to read and discover that they can replace your name and URL link with their own generating more traffic for them. So, they pay you the $10.00 fee for the re-branding tool to change the specific area of information, affiliate links, etc., to earn them traffic and extra money. Now, after they have re-branded the product, they begin to follow the same process you did by either reselling the product, or giving it away for free to their customers.

Once their customers receive their copy, open it, and begin to read, they come across the same opportunity to re-brand their newly acquired version for a mere $10.00 fee. So, they decide that they also would like to have a new traffic generation, money earning product. And they pay the re-branding fee. Which of course, goes directly to YOU.

Logically, not everyone that receives a copy of your product will want to re-brand it. But, even if they don’t, and your information stays in place, you’ll still be earning all that traffic back to your site! Plus, if you have affiliate links within it, then that’s a greater chance you will have to earn commissions from those links as well.

Understand as well, that some authors will give away without charge the product, and the right to re-brand it. You may be wondering why they do this. Well the reason is quite simple really.

The author wants to make his product desirable to all his prospects, or those that he/she hopes to convert into customers somewhere down the line. So, they give away something with a perceived value, a la the re-brand rights, in addition to the product itself.

Now, there is a greater chance that more people will want this specific product because it is more valuable to them. Therefore, it stands to reason that more people will download it, and in turn, after re-branding it with their own traffic generating info(their own URL), will freely redistribute it to many more people than the original author could have accomplished on their own.

But, how will they earn any money from such a product? As briefly discussed earlier, from specific affiliate links the author has placed inside the free product. Many, many online internet marketers earn lots of extra money by doing this. And anyone else can do this as well. Including you.

Enter the “special report”. What this type of information product is is one that is usually in PDF format and discusses one specific topic or subject matter. In most cases, they are, for lack of a better word, reviews. Reviews about another product that the author is an affiliate to. It takes a bit of skill to create such reports in a manner in which it is not obvious to the reader that this is simply a review on another product.


Seek out other re-brandable products and see how they are doing it.  Then decide if it is right for you to try.



Will Your Salary Ever Get Better?

Here is an Infographic with some old information on it.  It is from 2011.  Has your salary changed much?  Not mine, We are still struggling to get by paycheck to paycheck.  I love teaching, I am just wondering if it is worth it financially.

It is worth it when you can earn some extra income.  It is worth it when that income is coming to you no matter when even when you are teaching students in school.  Income that is passive and generates money for you is the best kind of income.  It also makes your job easier.  No seriously, a good income, not worrying about your house payment, getting a new car, taking vacations, anything you want is possible.

Teaching in TaiwanYou are an expert.  You are.  There is something that you know about that others don’t.  Yes there will always be someone who knows a little more about your niche then you do.  Great, they are the people who you can learn from.  But in order to get to their level others have to learn from someone.  The person that they will learn from is you.

You are the expert compared to someone who does not know as much as you.  If you are a teacher then you know that.  You are teaching students who don’t know your content.  But we also always know that there are people who know more about our subject then we do.

There are teachers who can teach better than we can.  That is who we learn from.  As we go down this path you will realize that you can also add to other teachers craft.  With the exchange of ideas we all become better teachers.

So how does this apply to an online Niche?  Your unfair advantage above others is that you know how to deliver information in a way that is very easily understandable, it is actionable, and you know how to strip it down to building blocks of information.

That is a huge advantage.  If you are like me you learn something and the first thing you do is try to figure out how you would teach it.  I start thinking about how I would do something differently. I start breaking down all the steps that I have been taught and start wondering if there is a better way of doing it.

I do this because I am a teacher by nature.  This is what I do.  This is what I love.

You are probably that same person.  You probably do similar things.  Now you have a wonderful opportunity, and opportunity that has never been offered before to profit greatly from your abilities.

The concept is simple, you can find it all over the web.  It goes something like this:

  1. Find a Niche or a subject that you are passionate about.  I call it a hobby that you love.
  2. Develop a website around it.
  3. Deliver high quality content to other people who are interested in that Niche.
    This could be a blog, video, podcast, eBook, the possibilities are endless
  4. Share that content with people around the web.
  5. Develop a product to sell to your fans.
  6. Sell and be rich

Easy right?  It does take time.  It takes a lot of effort.  It takes a lot of perseverance.  But if you are passionate about a subject.  If you already have a hobby that you are good at and that you like doing.  Simply document it on a website, find out what problems people are having, and sell the solution.  You have the potential to be rich.  Realistically you will be able to make enough money for that new car you have been looking at.  You will have extra money to take a real vacation.  You will have the feeling like you are being rewarded for what you are worth as a teacher and a person.
